My name is Stacey Jenkins and I'm a designer and illustrator from Llanelli in South Wales. Staceyjenkins.co.uk operates as a collective melting pot of all my ideas and projects, including logo design, web design, print design and even comics.
Since graduating from the Cardiff School of Art & Design in Summer 2009, I have been operating as a multi-skilled digital creative, specialising in clean & modern design with a quirky edge, that gets the message across just right. Along with professional design solutions, I also operate as an illustrator with a unique style, inspired by the bold look of Japanese manga and the friendly character of Western animation. I'm also a long-term admirer of steampunk design.
Why do you have a frog in your logo?
I have indentified the frog as a icon of good luck and good fortune for several years. The frog also represents a quote from French biologist and historian Jean Rostand. "Theories pass. The frog remains."
Skills
Print design, web design (with reasonable experience in CSS and HTML), concept design, branding, digital illustration and creative writing. Currently exploring CMS development through the Wordpress platform, motion graphics with After Effects CS5 and interactive web design with jQuery.
Considerable experience in Adobe Creative Suites CS2 to CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver and Indesign) and Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access). Competent with both Macs and PCs.
