Client: National Museum of Wales, Cardiff & Hoffi
Branding concept produced with the design agency Hoffi for Cerdd/Music 2009, a music festival set around the museums of Wales.
Cerdd/Music 2009 required a clear, contemporary logo and identity design that fitted perfectly with the existing 'corner' identity of the National Museums of Wales. The festival wanted to attract a much younger audience to the museums and the logo design needed to reflect the more modern attitude of this new audience. Merchandise was also considered as part of the brief.
The final concept I produced was based around a musical note which gave a clear recognizable icon for music and as a logo itself. The branding and merchandise was then developed around this geometric shape and the original brand colours provided in the museum's brand guidelines.
